Črna na Koroškem
Črna na Koroškem is a picturesque municipality. The beautiful Alpine valleys of Topla, Koprivna, Bistra, and Javorje are the natural marvels of this municipality. The Ludranski Vrh settlement is home to the Najevska Lipa lime tree, the oldest Slovenian lime tree with historical memories dating back to the times of Turkish invasions to this area. It is the elaborately designed mining and ethnology collections in the Črna centre that remind us of times past. The settlement itself houses a ski slope and is the cradle of some of the best skiers, who are the reason Črna is also called the “village of Olympians”. These athletes and their accomplishments are presented in the permanent exhibition of Olympians from Črna na Koroškem. King Matjaž's Castles is the most prominent winter tourist event in the Koroška region, taking place every year in Podpeca.
