Koroška is active and fun with every step you take. Be it awakening the traditions of the past or exploring the urban hustle and bustle.
The timber rafting havens on the Drava River will welcome you with a smile. There you will learn how to make a raft and get a closer insight into the adventures of raftsmen or flosarji. You can head out to a real urban adventure to the city of ironworkers and many Forma Viva sculptures with a punkl (bundle), or try the authentic local cuisine koroška košta, as well as learn the traditions of ironworks and art. The oldest of the cities is Slovenj Gradec, which received city rights more than 750 years ago. This is where the past offers a hand to the modern urbanism. You can check out the city walls, the museum in the birth house of composer Hugo Wolf, a collection at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Koroška (KGLU) and the Koroška Regional Museum, and feel the cultural throb at numerous events.
