Koroška Regional Museum, Radlje ob Dravi Museum
Permanent exhibitions and works present the achievements, important families and individuals, who in their own way contributed to the rich tradition of this region.
Visit the Radlje Manor and learn about the life and work of Franjo Pahernik, a pioneer of environment-friendly forestry in Slovenia. You can also enter the world of children's imagination by visiting the exhibition of children’s games and toys.
The Radlje ob Dravi Museum is housed in the Radlje Manor with the central exhibition dedicated to the Pahernik family. It tells life stories of the members of one of the most important families in the Drava valley. The most prominent person is Franjo Pahernik, a forestry expert and a pioneer of sustainable forestry in Slovenia. The Pahernik institute was established in 2005 and today pursues Pahernik's idea of sustainable forest management. The museum also displays the permanent exhibition “Gremo rinkico talat” which takes us back to the world of childhood games and children’s imagination of the past century in the Pohorje area. The collection has over 360 different original and reconstructed toys. By presenting games and toys of our grandparents and great grandparents, we build bridges taking us to the imaginative worlds of children of different generations.
