Cross-Country Skiing

The silence of nature and thousands of ice crystals sparkling on the vast snow-covered surfaces will definitely calm down a busy mind. Koroška is the also the right destination if you like cross-country skiing. There are more than 30 kilometres of regulated trails. You will surely find the right trail for you at the Pohorje plains between Kope and the Ribniška Koča cabin, in Črna na Koroškem and the nearby Bistra valley, the Ravne na Koroškem Sports Park, in Kotlje and the section of the cycling route down the Mislinja Valley through Dovže. At the nearby Lake Pirkdorfer on the neighbouring Austrian side at the foothills of Mount Peca, they additionally cover the cross-country trails with artificial snow, enabling cross-country skiing even when there is not enough natural snow.
