Peca

Ascend to the highest peak of Koroška! Peca is a karst massif in the eastern part of the Karavanke mountain range and the easternmost Slovenian two-thousander (2,125 m). The extensive mountain is bordered on the south by the Topla Valley and the Mežica Valley, with the state border between Slovenia and Austria running along its ridge. With its landscape gem, the Topla Valley, and King Matjaž in its embrace, it is considered a symbol of Koroška. On Peca, you can observe high-mountain karst, traces of glacial activity, and numerous animal and plant species. Access to the mountain is possible via Črna na Koroškem or Mežica. On the Austrian side, you can ascend the mountain by cable car. The mountain area is part of the UNESCO Geopark Karavanke.

Uršlja Gora

Uršlja Gora is considered one of the more easily accessible mountains and is also a popular pilgrimage site, as the Church of St. Ursula, the highest-lying church in Slovenia, stands at its summit. From the top of the 1,699-meter-high mountain, you will experience a wonderful view of the Mežica, Mislinja, Drava, and Šalek valleys. Along the way, you can see Brančurnik's sarcophagus, Apohal's chapel, taste water from a pure spring, step into St. Ursula's stone footprint, and indulge in the exceptional views from the summit.

Olševa

This mountain in the eastern Mežica-Solčava Karavanke, along the border with Austria, measures 1,929 meters at its highest point. Its ridge once separated the historical regions of Koroška and Styria. Approximately 200 meters below the summit of Oblig Kamen lies a Stone Age archaeological site – Potočka Zijalka.

Smrekovec

More than 23 million years ago, a volcano erupted deep beneath the sea in the Smrekovec area. It spewed large quantities of volcanic ash, dust, and lava. This formed rocks such as andesite, tuff, and tuffite, which can be found along the path to the summit. The diverse rock base provided special conditions for the emergence of life. In the immediate vicinity of Dom na Smrekovcu, an interpretive point of the Karavanke Geopark has been set up, where you can watch a film about the Smrekovec volcano, play games, learn about the formation of rocks, discover new things about trees, their age, the king of the forest – the capercaillie, and much more.

Raduha

Raduha (2,062 m) represents the easternmost ridge of the Savinja Alps. The mountain is a long limestone ridge, steeply cut into a wall on its northern side, and is a true paradise for alpinists. Although most of the mountain lies outside the borders of Koroška, it is so popular among the people of Koroška that they consider it their own.

Raduha impresses with its magnificent views.
