Visitors thus discover not only individual objects, but also the broader story of work, skill, and technical knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation in Muta. In addition to the blacksmith and foundry collection, the museum includes ethnological, firefighting, and cultural-historical collections. Among the more interesting items are farming tools, pottery, household utensils, and separate collections of shoemaking and barbering tools. The firefighting collection preserves equipment, uniforms, and archival materials, with one of the oldest items being a mobile hand-operated piston pump with a windmill from 1876. The Blacksmith-Foundry and Firefighting Museum thus offers visitors an authentic insight into the technical, craft, and community life of Muta.

The Blacksmith-Foundry and Firefighting Museum in Zgornja Muta is housed in the former Kienhofen manor at Glavni trg 17 and introduces visitors to more than 400 years of blacksmithing, foundry, and firefighting tradition in Muta. The museum preserves blacksmith, foundry, and firefighting products from the 18th century, photographs, and other written materials that testify to the hard, creative, and technically rich life of the local inhabitants. A special emphasis of the museum is on the blacksmith-foundry heritage, which has strongly marked the development of the town. The collection presents the history of ironworking and blacksmithing, and is complemented by an open-air museum in front of the building, where a winch, crane, water hammer – trip hammer, and saw are displayed.
