Radlje ob Dravi Museum

The Radlje ob Dravi Museum, housed in the renovated Radlje Manor, presents visitors with the rich history of the town and its surroundings through archaeological, historical, and cultural collections that tell stories of life in Koroška throughout time.

A special place in the museum's presentation is also dedicated to the story of Pahernik's forests, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved private forest estates in Slovenia. The forests in the Pohorje area are not only an important natural heritage but also an example of thoughtful and sustainable forest management, which has maintained the balance between nature, humans, and wood heritage for generations.  


The story of the Pahernik family is closely linked to the development of forestry in Pohorje. Over decades, the family developed advanced forestry practices, and today their legacy is continued by the Pahernik Foundation, which is dedicated to forest preservation, supporting education, and raising awareness about the importance of sustainable forest resource management.
