Description
At the confluence of the Bricnik Stream and the Drava River, among the treetops, lies the Water Sprite’s Enchanted Corner, offering passers-by peace and relaxation. The area is suitable for families: children can play, move around and create in the children’s creative workshop, while adults can read a book or magazine from the book nook. Curious visitors can learn more about the Drava River and its animal and plant life, and the most inquisitive can also set off in search of hidden treasure.
What’s on offer
The destination is located on the riverside area, at the Bučinek boat launch and landing point in the Municipality of Muta. Between 2000 and 2016, the Bučinek Boating Association operated at this location, offering rowing boat rentals; today, a younger generation of nature and river enthusiasts is working to revive this activity. At present, the area is primarily intended for families with children, offering playground equipment, various games, and a creative corner with crayons, brushes and natural materials. Access to the Water Sprite’s Enchanted Corner is possible by bicycle or car. Basic sanitary facilities are provided on site, and drinking water and electricity are also available to visitors.
Location
In suitable weather, camping is also possible in the Enchanted Corner. The destination is strategically very interesting, as it is directly connected to transport infrastructure, and in the future they aim to enhance the offer with daily rowing boat rentals. The Enchanted Corner is located in the Municipality of Muta, right next to the G1 main road and the Drava Bike cycling route, at Sv. Primož nad Muto 1, 2366 Muta. The destination is ideal for cyclists and passers-by who, in the warmer part of the year, are looking for a peaceful spot to relax in nature, in the pleasant coolness of the Drava River.
